We are the United Volunteers of Tennessee, a grassroots network of organizers, neighbors, and everyday people who refuse to sit back while our country is pulled in the wrong direction. UVOTN was built to give Tennesseans a way to resist, to stand together, and to fight for a future where our communities can thrive.

This page is dedicated to recruitment — for new members looking to join our movement, and for current UVOTN teams looking to bring in new energy. If you’re searching for ways to take a stand, you’re in the right place.

Want to learn more about our broader work — our protests, our actions, and our ongoing campaigns? Visit uvotn.org for a deeper look at our mission and the principles that guide us. We are not just an organization; we are a resistance.

The Process

  1. Request and Discovery: A UVOTN team submits a recruitment request, followed by a discovery meeting to clarify needs.
  2. Sourcing: Candidates are identified through the Recruitment Reservoir database and social media outreach.
  3. Interviewing: All candidates undergo a structured 20-30 minute interview with the Recruitment Team.
  4. Vetting: Candidates are vetted in to confirm identity, verify experience, and check for red flags.
  5. Handoff: Vetted candidates are presented to the requesting team with a summary of their qualifications.
  6. Follow-Up: Recruitment checks in at one week and 30 days after placement to ensure successful integration.
